The centre’s linkage and location within the hospital gives it an advantage to stand out from any other charity organization that seeks to provide services in gender based violence.
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, KWCWC, alongside the Together for Better Foundation, held a workshop for our survivors. The programme ran from 8 am to 1 pm. The programme was engaging; discussions on hygiene-based topics, especially their feminine health, were a major concern. A skill they never knew was also introduced to the wide-eyed survivors as they looked on in wonder at their trainers’ fast yet delicate sewing skills.
They watched the sewing process, engaging with their trainers from the Together for Better Foundation—a stimulating session. From the cloth sowing to the soft cotton sown underneath, to the simple yet creative technique used, to the clear and careful teaching done; a true wonder of a week.
