KWCWC

What We Do

GBVRC

KWCWC has constructed a state-of-the-art facility designed to offer comprehensive services and create a healing environment for survivors, supporting their reintegration into safe environments. The facility will house a clinical team that provides immediate medical intervention, ensuring timely care for survivors. In collaboration with the United States International University’s (USIU) Humanities Department, 24/7 psychological support will be available, delivered by trained psychologists and counselors. To promote mental well-being, innovative and non-traditional recovery approaches, such as art and dance therapy, will also be implemented.

Integrated Model of Care

Medical Intervention

Immediate medical intervention, supported by an on-site forensic lab and clinical care.

Psychological Support

Psychological support from trained psychologists and counselors.

Economic Empowerment

Economic Empowerment Programs as a prevention and response strategy.

In partnership with law enforcement and local leadership (County representatives, Chiefs), KWCWC has developed a protocol to ensure safety, justice, and ongoing follow-up. This will be complemented by an on-site forensic lab where specimens are processed and stored locally, providing a critical resource for legal proceedings.
KWCWC has partnered with local governments and will collaborate with both public and private institutions to refer an average of 300 cases per month to access care and shelter. Community health workers, equipped with mobile technology, will assist in the identification and assessment of victims, offering a safe hotline for counseling or admission to care. Technology will be leveraged to track and follow up on victims’ progress and referrals to additional resources.
