Mrs. Deloris Jordan

Mrs.Deloris Jordan
An advocate for children and families, Mrs. Jordan has supported the work of various organisations including the Children’s Defense Fund; the Christian Family care Agency in Phenix; and the Victor Herbert Elementary School and many others. Mrs. Jordan is an author of several books and her current books are Did I tell you I love you Today? And Michael and the Golden Rules, also co-authored with her daughter.
Mrs. Jordan currently serves on the Boards for the Jordan Family Institute, University of Chapel Hill School of Social Work in North Carolina, and Kenya Women and Children’s Wellness Centre. She has received numerous awards for the outstanding service to improve the lives of others including the Clinton Global Initiative Award presented by Former President Bill Clinton for her ongoing efforts in Africa-Nairobi, Kenya.
Her philanthropic efforts has brought together like minded partners to put up of a state of art healthcare facility in Nairobi, Kenya that will offer quality and affordable care.

Ms. Rita Kavashe, MBS, AOEC

Ms.Rita Kavashe,MBS,AOEC
Rita Kavashe is the Managing Director of Isuzu East Africa Ltd (formerly General
Motors East Africa, GMEA), the largest motor vehicle assembler in the region selling a
wide range of Isuzu vehicles. She is a corporate board expert with considerable
experience as a regional business leader influencing governance and policy advocacy
in the manufacturing sector. In 2017, Rita was awarded a state honor, the Moran of the
Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) for exemplary service to the country in her capacity
as a business leader.
Rita is regularly invited by leading organizations in the country to speak on the
challenges of leadership in the 21st century, advancing gender diversity in the
workplace, and the benefits of greater integration of women into corporate boards as a
Brand Ambassador for the Women on Boards Network (WOBN), Kenya.
She is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance
(KEPSA), Advisory Board Member of the Palmhouse Foundation, member of the
University of Eldoret Endowment Trust Board of Trustees and Chair of the Board of
British American Tobacco Kenya plc.
Rita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Moi University, Kenya and a Master’s
degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi. She is also an
executive coach certified by the Academy of Executive Coaches (AOEC) UK.

Gordon is a health care leader, management consultant and executive coach. He has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare sector in Kenya and the region. He has designed and led interventions focused on improving the effectiveness of the health sector, organisations, departments and individuals.
Gordon combines a global professional outlook to the management of the health sector, working with institutions such as Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital and the Nairobi Hospital. He offers leadership in the delivery of appropriate programs and services. He works to promote collaboration and resolve conflict.
Gordon has also worked in the hospitality industry for over 11 years as a senior executive with internationally reputable hotel groups and received both local and international training.

Mr. Tom Mboya

Mr. Tom Mboya
Tom is a governance consultant with over 20 years of experience in the field, specifically in anti-corruption, parliamentary democracy, public policy, research, and advocacy. He has worked with governments, parliaments, civil society, as well as various international organizations.
Following tertiary education in the US, UK, and South Africa, much of Tom’s work has been dedicated to the promotion of justice and accountability for people from all walks of life. In so doing, he has spent more than two decades providing technical support to the public sector and international development organizations in areas such as constitutional reform, institutional capacity building, political analysis, research and policy development.
Specifically, Tom has worked within the UN system (UN-HABITAT), with the Government of Kenya, and with various international parliamentary and development agencies such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the National Democratic Institute (NDI), and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, among others.
In addition to providing strategic advice and political and policy analysis to a range of clients and organizations, Tom is also an established researcher, and has written and published extensively on governance, public policy, and political affairs.

Anis Jariwalla, Co-Founder and Director of MAFX Bureaus LTD, has been engaging in women-focused activism efforts for over 15 years. Fuelled by her own passion to empower other women, Anis has pioneered committees amongst local Muslim communities to ensure they receive the resources, support, and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential; this has been done by helping women develop skills through vocational training programs, which has provided them with the skill development and certifications they need to pursue careers to generate revenue for family support.
Anis has been working alongside Mrs. Jordan and KWCWC for close to a decade. Through this partnership, she has run the annual International Women’s Day celebration event with The James R. Jordan Foundation for eight years as of 2023. Anis continues to help the board with outreach and partnership development to better understand the needs of the larger Kenyan community.
